Fed up with Firefox? What about Erratic Explorer?

Well, Google has just announced the availability of their new web browser called Google Chrome and you can download it from the link below.

Before I go on, please have a look at the 40 page comic which shows the development of the browser and explains the concept and development and why this is a new generation browser.

Google Chrome features a simple and intuitive user interface and an entirely new architecture designed for speed, security, and stability.

I have just downloaded and installed and its a mightily fast web browser with hardly any clutter that you usually find on the other browsers.

I think the IE and Firefox days are numbered my friends!

I am sure that it being a google product that it has many clever features but a couple that stood out right away are the ones below.

Incognito Mode
What a brilliant idea! You can choose to open a browser window which basically deletes all traces of cookies or browsing history when you close it down.

Google says that this is a great mode when you want to plan surprises like gifts or birthdays.

Yeah right, the ability to surf porn without your wife catching you more like!

Auto Complete

The browser has an address bar with auto-completion features. Called ’omnibox’, Google says it offers search suggestions, top pages you’ve visited, pages you didn’t visit but which are popular and more.

The omnibox (“omni” is a prefix meaning “all”, as in “omniscient” – “all-knowing”) also lets you enter e.g. “digital camera” if the title of the page you visited was “Canon Digital Camera”.

Additionally, the omnibox lets you search a website of which it captured the search box; you need to type the site’s name into the address bar, like “craig edmonds”, and then hit the tab key and enter your search keywords.
