IMAP. What is it?

Internet Message Access Protocol. Imap is a method of downloading and syncronising your email with a remote email server. The main distinct difference between POP3 and IMAP is that with POP3 you download the mail from the server permanently to your device whereas with Imap you syncronise your email with your device and the emails remain on the email server.
